While in Florida over the holidays, I had the privilege of photographing one of my good friends who I grew up going to dance classes with. She recently got engaged and I was so excited to be able to photograph her with her new fiance. I haven't finished editing all of the images yet, but I wanted to give a sneak peek of 3 photographs from the session.
You are a wonderful couple and I wish you a lifetime of happiness! I can't wait to show you the rest...they are fantastic! :)
“If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it’s as though I’ve neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up.” –Avedon. Our lives are filled with unique intricacies that define who we are – shaping our identities and relationships. It is my passion to capture these intimate moments – a tender embrace between a parent & child, a subtle loving glance of a bride toward her groom, or the expression on a man’s face as he reflects over 20 years of military service – & preserve them as cherished memories for future generations to enjoy. To me, portraiture is not about simply looking at a person & recording their appearance. It is about looking within a person & capturing the essence of who they are.
Photography is not just what I do – it is part of who I am! Even at 3 years old, I would patiently wait for butterflies to land on flowers so I could photograph them. During a high school photography class, I decided to turn my passion into my profession. I completed the photography program at Daytona State College & over the past 12 years, I have photographed numerous weddings, events & portrait sessions.
