So I was trying to decide which pictures to post first, and I chose a couple from this session. Mainly because these girls are so sweet and I love being around them, and also because I'm tired of hearing John complain that his picture isn't on my business card (even though my card was created BEFORE this shoot) ;) heh heh. You have the privilege of being my first blog photo post, so you can't complain anymore!!
(on a 'serious note'), I'm glad you all are in my life. Thank you for letting God use you to be huge blessings!
“If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it’s as though I’ve neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up.” –Avedon. Our lives are filled with unique intricacies that define who we are – shaping our identities and relationships. It is my passion to capture these intimate moments – a tender embrace between a parent & child, a subtle loving glance of a bride toward her groom, or the expression on a man’s face as he reflects over 20 years of military service – & preserve them as cherished memories for future generations to enjoy. To me, portraiture is not about simply looking at a person & recording their appearance. It is about looking within a person & capturing the essence of who they are.
Photography is not just what I do – it is part of who I am! Even at 3 years old, I would patiently wait for butterflies to land on flowers so I could photograph them. During a high school photography class, I decided to turn my passion into my profession. I completed the photography program at Daytona State College & over the past 12 years, I have photographed numerous weddings, events & portrait sessions.
